I am an illustrator and narrative artist who specializes in digital art and painting. I believe, at my core, that every piece of art should tell a story, whether it be obvious like a comic, or more subtle such as the message behind a painting. While I enjoy symbolism and allegory, I am strongest when depicting figurative and representational art. I often utilize bright colors, analogous palettes, and feminine motifs in my art in order to tell my story and the story of what I create. My art is definitely affected by the life I live as a fat, non-binary lesbian in a world that doesn't necessarily want me to express any of those things, so much of my art contains either outright tales of the dismissed, or at least glimpses into what that world is like. I make my art because I want those like me to feel as if they are being seen and heard from someone who is creating. Media hardly reflects the folks I like to reflect in my work - the ugly, the crude, the queer, the fat, those who either are not in ones thoughts, or are the butt of the joke - but I like to portray them in a soft and appreciated light. There is love and beauty and fun in those who the world ignores, it just needs to be shown.
